The National Reining Breeders Classic (NRBC) is a major show for reining’s derby aged horses. It has also been a playground for new classes and divisions to be introduced to the sport. One thing that hasn’t changed is the classic classes.
This year, 32 horses are headed for the NRBC Non Pro Classic Level 4 Finals today. Top Non Pro Mandy McCutcheon earned spots in the finals on three horses: Dun It For Whiz, Arylosa, and Starlights Voodoo. She and Kelsey Flessner lead the pack into the clean-slate finals with a scores of 221 on Dun It For Whiz and Gunna Make My Dream respectively. Indy Roper also will also bring three horses back to the finals: Frozzen, Wally Wonka and Pretty Alrightt. 2023 NRBC Non Pro Classic Champion Gina-Maria Schumacher is coming back on two horses, as are Lane Colston, Emma Vanlandingham, Kim Muehlstaetter and Allison Thorson. Many of the horses bound for the NRBC finals were finalists at the 2023 National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Futurity.
