A race expected to draw the top older dirt horses in North America will have a purse to match. Churchill Downs announces that the purse for the June 27 Stephen Foster Stakes (G1) has been doubled from $1 million to $2 million.

Steve Asmussen started horses in eight different stakes over the May 15-16 weekend at Laurel Park, including Chip Honcho, who finished third in the $2 million Preakness Stakes (G1). He earned a total of 39 points, just two more than Graham Motion.
